Our office is in Memphis, but many of our clients never set foot in it. An uncontested divorce is paperwork, and paperwork does not depend on where your lawyer sits.
Here's how it works when you live elsewhere in Tennessee:
Your consultation is by Zoom.
Your documents are prepared by our office and reviewed with you by email.
You sign in front of a notary near you and mail the originals back.
We take care of the filing either by mail or e-filing where available.
Most uncontested cases close without a court appearance.
You get the same flat fee no matter which county you live in, so you know the full cost before we start. If a court in your county does require an appearance for a case with children, we tell you that and quote the travel cost up front or find a local lawyer to appear for you.
What we handle statewide: consultations on any family law matter, uncontested divorces, and publication and default divorces. Contested litigation is handled in Shelby County only.
