Serving All Tennesseans From East to West

Davis & Greene P.C. was founded in 2011 by Jeremy A. Davis and James A. Greene.

Jeremy and Jamie are law school friends who came together in 2011 to start a Memphis law practice to serve everyone with the simplest solutions at prices you can afford. With Jeremy growing up in Memphis and Jamie being raised in Bristol, the two lawyers brought a whole state of experience to law practice. After graduating law school in 2006, Jamie went to work for the Shelby County Public Defender’s office while Jeremy left the United States to live abroad teaching in Japan but later returned and began working in general civil practice. When the firm first opened, we handled a wide variety of matters ranging from criminal law and divorce to bankruptcy and child custody. Over the years both lawyers found themselves being more drawn to serving family law clients until the other practice areas were dropped and the firm became the exclusive family law practice it is today. When COVID struck in 2020, Jamie elected to leave the practice and move back to Bristol to be closer to family.

First Team All Defense

Jeremy A. Davis was born in Memphis in 1981 to a family that has now been small business owners in Memphis for over 100 years. He attended Harding Academy, a private Christian school, and went on to graduate from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002. He returned to Memphis to attend law school at the University of Memphis. After graduating and taking the bar in 2006, Jeremy took a job teaching English in the Tokyo area before he returned to start practicing law. Jeremy has been married to the beautiful Memphis artist Rachel Stovall Davis since 2017, and they have a beautiful baby daughter born in 2023. Jeremy is a musician, a talented cook, and loves planning vacations with his wife. Jeremy and Rachel are believers in Jesus Christ and are active members at Mission Church in east Memphis.

Jeremy’s philosophy of law practice is to provide clients with the simplest solution to their problems. Not everything requires confrontational litigation and endless billable hours. In fact, most situations do not require anything like that. Jeremy received Rule 31 Family Mediation training in 2017 but is no longer listed with the ADR. Experience shows simple solutions, negotiated settlements, and mediation conferences are the most direct path to the best outcomes for clients.
